Mechanical Electrical Supervisor Required in Qatar

A Mechanical Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial facilities. This role involves coordinating teams of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining the operational efficiency of systems such as HVAC, electrical wiring, plumbing, and other mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision and Team Coordination

• Oversee the work of mechanical and electrical technicians to ensure tasks are executed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project goals, progress, and safety procedures.

2. System Installation and Maintenance

• Supervise the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring adherence to blueprints, specifications, and regulations.
• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize system downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Respond to system failures and coordinate prompt repairs to maintain operational efficiency.

3. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Provide training to team members on safety protocols and best practices.

4. Quality Control and Performance Monitoring

• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications.
• Monitor the performance of mechanical and electrical systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs.

5. Project Planning and Coordination

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute mechanical and electrical projects.
• Estimate resource requirements, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure timely project completion.
• Resolve on-site issues and adapt plans to accommodate unforeseen challenges.

6. Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and submit reports detailing project progress, maintenance activities, and resource usage.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment manuals, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
• Provide feedback to management on team performance, resource needs, and system efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in supervising mechanical and electrical works.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical wiring, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
