The Section Head, Engineering is responsible for leading a team of engineers and overseeing all engineering activities within a specific section or department. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and ensuring the timely execution of projects according to the highest quality and safety standards. The Section Head provides technical expertise, leadership, and guidance to ensure that engineering solutions meet business needs and comply with regulatory requirements. They are also responsible for fostering innovation, process improvements, and professional development within the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management: The Section Head, Engineering is tasked with leading and mentoring a team of engineers, assigning tasks, and ensuring the efficient execution of all projects. They work closely with other department heads and stakeholders to align engineering activities with organizational goals. The role also involves conducting performance evaluations, developing training programs, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Project Planning and Execution: This role requires the planning and supervision of engineering projects from inception to completion. The Section Head ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications. They oversee the allocation of resources, the preparation of project timelines, and the resolution of any technical challenges that arise during project execution.

Technical Expertise and Innovation: As a senior engineering leader, the Section Head provides technical direction and makes critical decisions regarding engineering design, development, and implementation. They promote innovation by encouraging the team to adopt new technologies and techniques, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and at the forefront of industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
