We are seeking a skilled AC / HVAC Technician to join our maintenance team and ensure the efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of HVAC equipment, including air conditioners, heaters, chillers, and ventilation systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

1. Installation and Maintenance of HVAC Systems

• Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.

2. Diagnosis and Repair of HVAC Equipment

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems using specialized tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems such as refrigerant leaks, faulty wiring, motor failures, and other system malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, and thermostats.

3. System Optimization and Energy Efficiency

• Evaluate HVAC systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance performance and energy efficiency.
• Implement measures to reduce energy consumption, such as adjusting settings, upgrading parts, and optimizing system usage.
• Monitor system performance to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.

4. Compliance and Safety Standards

• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of refrigerants.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and electrical safety.

5. Customer Service and Support

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their HVAC concerns and provide professional recommendations for solutions.
• Offer guidance on proper system use, maintenance tips, and ways to enhance the longevity and efficiency of HVAC units.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including inspection reports, maintenance logs, and repair details.
• Document any system changes, part replacements, and adjustments made during service visits.
• Provide detailed feedback to supervisors and clients on system conditions and any necessary follow-up actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC technology preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608) is required.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
