Key Responsibilities

System Installation and Configuration

  • Install, program, and configure BMS hardware and software to control building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
  • Integrate new devices and components into existing BMS infrastructure.
  • Conduct initial system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on BMS equipment to avoid system failures.
  • Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and faults, identifying and resolving root causes efficiently.

System Optimization and Upgrades

  • Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and optimization.
  • Implement software updates, patches, and upgrades to improve system capabilities.
  • Recommend and install advanced control strategies to enhance building performance.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure BMS operations comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Provide detailed reports on system performance and maintenance schedules to management.

Client and Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A diploma or degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in BMS software platforms and networking protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
